MY STORY

I Missed My Son's First Laugh. I Was 15 Feet Away.

Full-time job. Side projects. Newborn son. Something had to give—then I figured out how to hand most my work to AI.

The Breaking Point

In early 2024, I had a demanding remote job in marketing, side projects I was trying to get off the ground, and my first son had just been born.

I was working 10-12 hours a day from my home office. I'd start at 5am, grind through the day, and by the time I looked up it was 9pm. My wife was handling everything with the baby. My son was growing up in the other room while I sat at my desk.

I told myself it was temporary. "Just until things settle down." But they never settle down. There's always another deadline, another project, another fire.

"My wife sent me a video of our son laughing — really laughing — for the first time. I was 15 feet away in my office. I didn't hear it happen."

That broke something in me. Not in a dramatic, quit-my-job way. In a quiet way. The kind where you close your laptop at midnight and think: I can't keep doing this. Something has to change.

So I started asking a different question: What if I could do the same work in less time?

The Experiment

I spent the next few months obsessively breaking down every task I did in a day. Not in a productivity-guru way. In a desperate, sleep-deprived, new-parent way.

I realized my work fell into two categories: Architect work — the stuff that required my judgment, creativity, and decision-making. And Builder work — the stuff that followed a repeatable pattern.

70%

of my time was spent on tasks that didn't actually need me

The System That Changed Everything

I built what I now call an AI Blueprint — a persistent set of instructions that told AI my tone, preferences, standards, and constraints. Then I built Playbooks — repeatable workflows for specific tasks.

  • AI stopped starting from zero every time
  • One prompt for an entire newsletter
  • One prompt for a full distribution plan
  • One prompt to turn notes into a client report
  • Within 3 months, I'd cut my work time by more than half

What Changed

I started hearing my son's laugh in real time instead of on video.

I was there for bath time. For morning walks. For the mundane, beautiful, unremarkable Tuesday afternoons that make up a childhood.

I didn't quit my job. I didn't "escape the 9-to-5." I just stopped letting the work take more time than it needed to.

That's it. That's the whole story. No dramatic revelation. No secret hack. Just a systematic approach to becoming the Architect of my own work — figuring out which parts required my judgment and which parts I could hand off to AI — and then actually doing it.

Why I Built This Course

The AI Freedom Formula is the framework I built for myself and then refined into something I could teach:

STEP 1

The Architect Mindset

Learning to see which parts of your work need you and which don't.

STEP 2

Your AI Blueprint

Building a context layer so AI knows your tone, standards, and preferences.

STEP 3

Your Playbooks

Creating repeatable prompts that handle specific tasks on command.

It's not about AI hype. It's not about replacing your job. It's about designing a system where you set the direction and AI does the execution.

Where I Am Today

I work remotely from Southern California. I'm self-taught in everything I do — marketing, AI systems, content creation. I run side projects on top of my day job, and I do it in a fraction of the hours it used to take.

Not because I work less — because I stopped doing the work that didn't need me.

If that's where you are right now — buried in work, knowing there's a better way but not having the time to figure it out — that's exactly why I built this course.
